Keeping the birds fat and fed!

Its time we did some practical work as a reward for all the EcoSchools paperwork!

After half term we are going to make some bird feeders in the form of fat balls - seeds in lard.

This is highly nutrious and will help the local birds make it through what is looking to be a long cold winter.

PLEASE COLLECT EMPTY YOGURT POTS AND BRING THEM INTO SCHOOL - THEY WILL BE THE MOLDS FOR THE FAT BALLS

I am thinking it might be nice to decorate some terracotta plant pots soon too ready for when our seedlings start to grow - bring in your old pots and we can get painting!

I think we should maybe have a trip to a garden to see how they take care of plants and how they do their job to sustain the garden
