The British Hedgehog Crisis
Britains Hedgehogs are engandered. Falling from as many as 30 million in the UK during the 1950's, recent survey has shown numbers to be as low as 1.5 million today, or less.
Victims of intensive farming, raffic accidents and a decling habitat and food source, our Hedgehogs numbers have declined by 25% in the last 10 years - faster than ever before.
Aldenham School want to act. The EcoCommittee have chosen the British Hedgehog as a focus animal and recipient of sponsership efforts this year.
