This eggs were discovered in th EcoGarden on the underside of some rotting wood - but what species are they? What would they hatch into and is it possible to tell at this stage of their development?

Having had a look around the internet i believe that these eggs may in fact be from a snail or slug. Both of the Wiki pages i have posted below mention their eggs and after some google image searching i found that they look similar to what we found in the garden. I also found an interesting article calling snail eggs 'white caviar' and stating its growing popularity over europe before asking if Britain is ready to take them on as a culunary delicacy!

Thats really interesting Jono - not quite sure about the prospect of eating snail or slug eggs but a little bit of interesting science trivia all the same!

Well done for doing some research!
